TWIW Link Up Week #6

It's Sunday Errrybody! I love Sundays. For all kinds of different reasons. Sundays are usually a day to sleep in, relax, maybe workout, watch sports, prep food for the week. For me this week, I am packing up my suitcase to head on a road trip. I travel across Canada opening new GoodLife Fitness Clubs, so I am on the road a lot. My flight is at 6am tomorrow morning and I can't sleep the night before I travel unless I am completely organized and packed and ready to go. One thing you should know about me is that I am almost NEVER completely organized, which means I almost never sleep well the night before a flight, despite my best efforts.
I really did have a fabulous weekend. One thing I did that was pretty awesome, was attend a Raw cooking class at Vibrant Lifestyle in Liberty Village in Toronto. I had never been to a cooking class before, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I was impressed! We made three different raw protein bar recipes. I will hopefully share them with you all soon! I also learned tons about food in general. Our cooking instructor is also a holistic nutritionist and extremely passionate about what she does and so knowledgeable. For example did you know that cacao has three times the antioxidants of green tea?? I have a whole page of awesome little tidbits that I hope to share with you as well!

TWIW Link Up Week #6

The kitchen at Vibrant Lifestyle!

I spent Saturday night in Stoney Creek with my best friend evaa. Kim! Our favorite pass time is drinking wine in her hot tub. We have been friends for over 13 years. We met in our first year of university and have been besties ever since. We don't see each other as much as we want to with our busy schedules, so we make the most of the time we do get to spend together! So we crushed some wine and some BFF time this past weekend. Yay us! xo
And of course Sunday's are also awesome because it is time for another link up of This Week in Workouts (#TWIW). Regardless of how many times you made it to the gym or not, TWIW is a chance to celebrate anything positive that happened during the past week with respect to workouts. Every little bit makes a difference and every small choice to made last week to live a fitter and healthier lifestyle deserves to be celebrated!
So here we go:
Monday: Run & Wicked Wallies
Tuesday: PT Session
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: Full body strength training & wicked wallies
Friday: Off
Saturday: 3km run, Tabata sprints, full body strength training & wicked wallies
Sunday: Off
Soooo not too shabby. I was able to squeeze out four workouts this week, three of which included lifting weights. I am happy with that. I am looking forward to some interesting workouts this week as I will be traveling across the country! So now it it your chance to share and celebrate you workout successes and accomplishments from the past week. I can't wait to see what everyone was up to all week.
I am off to watch some play off baseball. It's Yankees vs. Tigers today at 4pm. The Yankees are without Derek Jeter as he fractured his ankle in last nights game. It's weird to watch the Yankees without Jeter in the line up. Are you watching the ALCS or NLCS? Who are you cheering for?
