What’s In That Bulu Box #7 – 5 Health & Fitness Products for the New Year

By Fitfulfocus @fitfulfocus

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a lovely holiday. Mine was filled with family, friends, delicious food, and even a few runs (woot!).

I’m back on this fine day with another great round of What’s In That Bulu Box?!

Bulu Box is a subscription box filled with health and fitness goodies. Each month you get a custom box filled with 5+ samples from top health/fitness brands. You earn points for each box you get and can get even more points for taking product surveys. You can then use said points to purchase full-sized versions of your favorite products. Some boxes are winners. Some are just ok – but I love the surprise of healthy goodies, getting to test them out, and share my thoughts with you.

The latest box was a great one! Check it out:

Vital Protein Collagen Peptides – This is a powder that contains 100% pure collagen peptides that help improve the look and feel of hair, skin, and nails. It’s unflavored, so it’s easy to mix into smoothies, water, oatmeal, what have you. It’s gluten-free and has 18g of protein per serving! Yowza! Would I buy it? Yes!

SPORTea - I got a little teabag of this stuff. It’s meant as a healthy alternative to high sugar energy and sport drinks with all the same benefits (i.e. an energy boost without the crash). It’s sugar free, free of artificial sweeteners, and is 100% natural. It’s been abnormally warm outside for December, so I haven’t tried this yet. Would I buy it? TBD.

MOVIT Energy Gummies - These are super tasty little gummies that give you a boost of energy for a workout. I took these about 20 minutes before my first ever Crossfit workout (more on that later) and I had just the right amount of energy – no jitter and no crash. Plus, they taste like a little treat (I tried the Berry flavor). They’d be great to bring along for a long run or before any big workout, really. Would I buy it? YES!

Justin’s Classic Peanut Butter - I’ve had Justin’s nut butters before, and I’m a huge fan. While I can’t have the peanuts, I know that their almond butter is top notch. This stuff is gluten free, certified non GMO and only contains peanuts and palm fruit oil. The little packs are perfect for on-the-go snacks or even as fuel during a run. Would I buy it? Yes, but the Almond Butter version.

Beanfields Rice & Bean Chips –  I’ve had these chips before and have to say I’m a big fan. I’ve never had the Salt & Pepper flavor before, though, so I was excited to try them. They passed the taste test with flying colors! Mmmm crunch crunch. These chips are gluten-free, soy-free, egg-free, nut-free, vegan – the whole shebang. A serving of Beanfields chips gives you 4 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber! I really liked this flavor, but Bulu Box has a bunch of others, including (but not limited to) Nacho, Unsalted, and Pico de Gallo. Would I buy it? Yep!
