Want to Make $1000 by Binge Watching a Hunting Show?

Posted on the 04 June 2020 by Kungfujedi @Kungfujedi

Times are tough at the moment and we're all looking for ways to bring in a little more extra income. Which is why this publicity stunt from a website called Gear Lobo might be of interest to some of you. The site, which is mainly focused on hunting and fishing, is offering someone $1000 to binge watch the show and post about it on social media. Provided you're already a fan of the show or similar content, this could be the easiest money you've ever made.

The details for applying for this gig can be found on the Gear Lobo website, but in a nutshell, here's what you need to know. The site is looking for someone who is mist likely already a fan of the MeatEater brand and has a healthy following on social media. At the very least, they should enjoy posting to social media regularly and sharing things that interest them on the various platforms, like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Of course, they'll be asked to tag Gear Lobo and MeatEater in those posts too. All applicants must also be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.

So what exactly are you up against when taking on this job? As noted, you'll be watching eight seasons of the show, totaling 108 episodes for a total run time of 41 hours and 3 minutes. That means you'll be making roughly $24/hour for watching television. Not a bad gig if you don't mind the content. In addition to the $1000 you'll get paid however, you'll also get a number of other products sent your way. They'll include the following: The MeatEater Fish and Game Cookbook, MeatEater T-shirt, MeatEater 20 oz. Yeti tumbler, MeatEater skull sticker, Gift card for a free 1-year subscription of MyOutdoorTV (they also offer a free 1-year subscription to an outdoor magazine of your choice), Civivi Plethiros folding knife, and last but not least, Jack Links 2-Pack of beef jerky.

To apply, just fill out the form on this page with all of the information requested. The application process will run through June 12 with a winner selected completely at random.

We're not big hunters or anglers here at The Adventure Blog, but we respect that those activities are just another way to get outside and enjoy some time in the wilderness. I'm sure a few of you enjoy both hunting and fishing, so perhaps this is a fun gig for you. Good luck!
