Video: Rock Climber Carlo Traversi Completes Second Ascent of Meltdown

Posted on the 05 February 2019 by Kungfujedi @Kungfujedi

On Valentine's Day back in 2008, rock climber Beth Rodden completed a route called Meltdown that she says is amongst the most difficult she has ever completed. It would eventually be rated as a 5.14c on the Yosemite Decimal System, which simply means it is one of the hardest routes in the world. Despite its level of challenge however, Rodden never thought that it would take ten years for someone else to follow in her footsteps, but that's exactly what happened. In this video, we follow along with climber Carlo Traversi as he attempts the second ascent of this epic line.
