In this dynamic pose, which you do lying on your side, you mindfully lift and lower your top leg with your breath, while maintaining a steady side-lying position. It is a great way to strengthen your side hip muscles, particularly the gluteus medius, which is so important for standing, stabilizing your pelvis, and moving your legs.
