Video: Mountain Biking a Via Ferrata in Italy

Posted on the 06 April 2020 by Kungfujedi @Kungfujedi

If you've ever seen a via ferrata route, you probably already know how narrow, technical, and downright scary they can be. For those unfamiliar, these hiking trails, which originated in Italy but are now found all over the world, usually very steep and use cables, ladders, and other mechanisms to allow individuals to explore the path, often clipped into a cable as they go. They aren't often very conducive to mountain biking, but in this video we join rider Kilian Bron as he attempts to ride such a route in the Dolomites of Northern Italy. As you can imagine, the ride is fast, technical, and fun to watch from the safety of our own homes. I certainly wouldn't want to be on the bike, that much is certain.
