Video: 5 Useful Knots for Use in the Outdoors

Knowing how to tie good knots is an essential skill for any outdoor enthusiast to learn. After all, those knots can come in handy in a wide variety of circumstances while hiking, backpacking, or camping. In this clip, courted of our friends at REI, we'll learn how to tie some of the more common and useful knots for use on our adventures. The knots shown here include the Bowline, the Clove Hitch, the Girth Hitch, the Trucker's Hitch and the Prusik Hitch, each of which is unique to one another and can serve an important purpose.
