After taking last week off for a much-needed break, The Adventure Podcast returns this week, although we have a major announcement to make at the top of the show. Moving forward, the podcast is going on hiatus, as this week I started a new job that will make scheduling a challenge, at least for a time. Over the past six years, I've been freelance writing full time, but with the current condition of the world, I've decided to transition back into a more stable work force. The Adventure Blog will continue, but the podcast will need to be back-burnered, at least for now. We hope to resume recording down the line, hopefully once my new schedule gets a bit more settled.
For our final show, we elected to do away with our usual interview or "main topic" but did share plenty of Adventure News. Our stories included soaring temperatures in Siberia, an update on the Karakoram and Himalaya climbing seasons, a look at an inspiring explorer who has been to Earth orbit and the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, and much more. Later, we also do one last gear segment, with my co-host Dave Adlard sharing his thoughts on the Big Agnes Copper Spur tent, while I review BioLite's FirePit, both of which we were very happy with.
As always, you can listen to the episode in the embedded audio player below. Alternatively, you can listen and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Stitcher, and Spotify. Even though we currently don't have any new episodes in the pipeline, we have more than a hundred back episodes to go back and review should you choose. By subscribing, you'll also be the first to know when we return as well. Comments, thoughts, feedback, and suggestions can be send to us via Facebook , Twitter, or good old-fashioned email.
I want to send a huge thanks out to regular listeners over the past two and a half years. We have appreciated you tuning in, sending us so much support, and providing great feedback and content to chat about. Dave and I truly appreciate it and we will miss interacting with you on a weekly basis. Hopefully, we'll be back soon!
