Reaching Beyond Boundaries Now Available!

Posted on the 26 February 2019 by Kungfujedi @Kungfujedi

I am excited and proud to announce that my first book, Reaching Beyond Boundaries, is officially (and finally!) available to purchase on Amazon and other popular book outlets. It is available as a hardcover version, Kindle (and ebook) edition, as an audio book, and on CD (for those of you who still have a CD player.)

Writing, editing, and getting this book out to the world has been a true learning experience. What started as a germ of an idea by my co-author Don Mann has turned into a book that I think we're both immensely proud of. Don is a former Navy SEAL and world-class endurance athlete who has many stories to share. In fact, he frequently gives motivational speeches to organizations, companies, and other groups during which he shares his philosophy for setting goals and achieving the things you want most in life. This book springs from those talks, while sharing some of Don's life story along the way too.

But there is much more to it than that. We also share the stories of dozens of other very inspirational people. We talk about folks like Ernest Shackleton, Edmund Hillary, and Roald Amundsen. We also spotlight modern day athletes, explorers, and entrepreneurs, finding inspiration from the likes of Alex Honnold, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and many others. In short, if you enjoy reading this blog on a regular basis, there's a good chance you'll like Reaching Beyond Boundaries too.

I want to send out a special thanks to Don for bringing me along on this journey and to our friends and collaborators and Skyhorse Publishing. Without them, this wouldn't have been possible. I also want to thank my friends and family -- and especially my very patient wife -- for supporting me through this process. It has definitely been an interesting year and a half filled with long weekends at my desk, staying up late editing, a few delays, and more than my fair share of languishing over the right words to tell Don's story and those of so many others.

Also, a special thanks to the regular readers of The Adventure Blog over the years, because without you I wouldn't have gotten here either. What started off as a side project I did in my spare time just for fun has built into a new career that has brought me so many unexpected surprises. I know more than a few of you have been along for that ride and I appreciate you still finding time to drop by my little corner of the Internet, which looks better than ever with its recent new coat of paint.

If you've already preordered RBB thank you so much. And if you like what you find in the book, stay tuned. Don and I are already working on the follow-up, so we have a new project in the works for release down the line. Stay tuned, we'll have more on that in the future.
