Overcoming Obesity Isn't Easy

By Rachel

Overcoming Obesity isn't easy -So what?Honestly, it must not be fun to be obese. I don't believe anyone truly sets out to be obese knowing all to well the dangerous consequences.
Not long ago, however I came across a program on the OWN channel talking about sex addiction or fetishes, I don't recall the exact title. The couple was an african american male looking quite fit and of reasonable weight for his stature and a white american obese women. We learned that his fetish was heavy women. He likes fat, okay, I know some men like a bit of meat on their ladies but to spoon feed your wife so she gains, and gains? I found that very strange and what was even more disturbing was that she had a personal goal of reaching 300 lbs.
We all want to loose weight, she was feeding herself to gain. I cannot comprehend how anyone can risk their health, risk all the variety of illnesses to please your man. What dacade, or century are we living in. I am convince she has insecurity issues above all - do you agree?
Consider the risks:

  • Coronary heart disease
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Cancers (endometrial, breast, and colon)
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Dyslipidemia (for example, high total cholesterol or high levels of triglycerides)
  • Stroke
  • Liver and Gallbladder disease
  • Sleep apnea and respiratory problems
  • Osteoarthritis (a degeneration of cartilage and its underlying bone within a joint)
  • Gynecological problems (abnormal menses, infertility)

I know someone who recently discovered he has high blood pressure, it was a wake up call for him. He right away took action - beyond seeing a doctor - he begun to walk every morning for half an hour. He switched from four cups of coffee to green tea, changed his diet to more leafy greens, fruit and vegetable juicing, apple cider vinigar and raw garlic all known to reduce high blood pressure.Did you know soaking your feet in hot water can also reduce your high blood pressure? This individual isn't obese but very much like the man portrayed in the image above. He slowly had gained in the waist area. Overcoming obesity isn't easy - so what? If your self-estime is in check, your values are in check, your determination to get healthy becomes easier.
To come back to the obese lady with the fetish driven husband; there is nothing attractive about living in an unhealthy way. I get the "love me as I am" but I seriously believe that when you love someone, you wish that person health before ensuring your fetish needs are being met.
