I've only been home from Japan for two days and already it is time to hit the road once again. This time, I'm making the semi-annual trip back to Salt Lake City to attend the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market gear show. It will be a very busy 4 days, with lots of new products to see, friends to connect with, and meetings to attend. It is always a fun, yet exhausting, few days made all the more challenging this go around thanks to a touch of jet lag.Visiting Salt Lake City this time will be somewhat bittersweet. The city has been the home of OR for 20 years, but thanks to a dispute over the use and protection of public lands within the state of Utah, the show will now move to Denver, Colorado for the foreseeable future. For those of us who attend the show on a regular basis, the change of venue is not unexpected, although many of us will miss our regular visits to SLC. We plan to make the most of our visit this time and enjoy our favorite restaurants and watering holes one last time.
