I’d like to say, “Happy Monday,” to you all, but the truth is, I’m sad I’m not still in Grenada. A full recap of the trip will be coming soon, but you can check out instagram to see some of the sights and eats I enjoyed for four glorious days.
It was paradise. I have a lot of recipe ideas brewing based off some of the delicious Caribbean flavors I got to try, but for now I have another scrumptious concoction for you. I’m looking at you, Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie.
Chocolate and raspberries were pretty much made for each other. They’re a match made in heaven, and this smoothie is their wedding ceremony. Seriously, does anyone dislike that combo? Speak now or forever hold your peace.
This beloved combo makes for the perfect healthy dessert. It’s like a rich chocolate wedding cake with a raspberry ganache, except in smoothie form, made of only four ingredients and it takes only seconds to make – as opposed to the baking and decorating required in the art of delectable cake making.
Of course, I’ll wouldn’t turn down this smoothie for breakfast either. The balance of protein (I used Vega protein powder) and carbs are a great way to either kick-start or top off your day. Enjoy!

Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie {vegan, gluten free} 2015-06-14 16:34:35 Serves 1 Write a review Save Recipe Print Ingredients
- 1 c unsweetened almond milk
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 c frozen raspberries
- optional: 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (if you’d like an even richer chocolate taste), unsweetened coconut flakes for topping
- Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender.
- Pour into a large glass, add any additional toppings, and enjoy!
