Blend Retreat Recap – Day 3

By Fitfulfocus @fitfulfocus

Hello from…. wait for it… New York!! Yes! I’m home!!! My new flight was delayed three times yesterday, but I finally made it back to the city. Phew what a trip.

Are you ready for Day 3 of the Blend Retreat Recap? Let’s do it (or catch up with Day 1 and Day 2 and then come on back)!

The roomies and I woke up nice and early. There was a yoga class sponsored by Bhakti Chai on the schedule, but Jayne and I decided we’d rather take advantage of the mountains while we had them and go for another hike. Julie, Sara and Meighan came with us so we had a nice little group! Jayne and I even tried to replicate our awesome jumping shot from last year. I promise are ups are better than they appear.

Then it was time for breakfast! Sunday’s breakfast sponsors were Barbara’s, Baobab, Good Belly and The Epic Seed. Like the other meals from the weekend, it did not disappoint. I tried out some Tropical Orange Good Belly (a gluten/soy/dairy-free probiotic juice drink). YUM! I also tried a shot of their oat milk. It came out of that little smiley face on the bottom right. So cute. Then I snagged a Coconut Epic Seed Yogurt and mixed in some Honey Rice Puffins.

I really enjoyed chatting with Kate, Megan, Stephanie and Laura over breakfast about training for races and whether or not walkers should be allowed to race. I’m all for it! If it gets you up and moving, who cares if you’re running or walking!

Then it was off to see if I could squeeze all my swag into my luggage before heading to the Grand Assembly room for the closing ceremonies sponsored by NestFresh Eggs.

I snagged a bunch of last minute pictures with some of my favorite ladies (Erika, Jayne, Mollie, Katie, Kanoelani) and got in a giant selfie with the Quest gang (this weekend was my first experience with a selfie stick…). There was a raffle of some amazing prizes, and I won a $50 gift card to Quest! Woo! Perfection.

Then we all gathered outside for one last group shot. Unfortunately, a lot of girls had to leave early, so this isn’t the whole group.

Then it was off to the airport. Half way into the ride I found out my flight was cancelled and well… you know the rest. But I’m home now and am already missing Blend! I have to give a HUGE shout out to the three ladies that made this whole event possible: Lindsay, Lauren and Janetha! Thank you all SO SO much for all of the hours of planning, swag schlepping and organizing you did to make Blend so wonderful. I can’t wait for next year!

Another awesome @BlendRetreat recap! If you want to attend a blogging retreat, don’t miss Blend!
