Hello!!! I've missed you all! First of all, BIG BIG thank you to Chelsey, Ashley, Anne, Sarah and Kim for taking over the blog while I was away. Did you catch their posts? If not, be sure to check them out!
Also, ICYMI, my Fifth Blogiversary Giveaway is going on! There are TWO DAYS LEFT to enter.
I'll be sharing all my adventures from Costa Rica in the coming weeks, but today is all about Father's Day! Can you believe it's around the corner?
I put together a fun Father's Day Gift Guide last year, but if you're looking for new ideas or ideas specifically for that active dad of yours, you're in the right place. Whether your dad is a runner, a fit fan or just enjoys a casual softball game on Sundays, one of these gifts is sure to make him smile this Father's Day.
Tickets to a baseball game
Baseball season is in full swing (pun intended). Even if your dad isn't a diehard fan, a day out to the ballpark will be a fun adventure for you both. You can spend the day exploring the stadium, watching your favorite team and enjoying the sunshine. Plus - crackerjacks!
Upgrade your dad's headphones to a wireless version. He can run with them, bike with them, walk around the house with them, commute with them, and he'll never have to struggle with a cord again. Make him a personalized playlist to go with them and you're golden!
Dad/Daughter active day out
Instead of getting your dad a physical gift, give him a memory. Take him out for a day just the two of you. You can walk around the park, go kayaking or canoeing, go fishing, go out to lunch - what have you. If your dad really enjoys breaking a sweat, take him to your local park and do this Father's Day Workout together!
Gym bag
If your dad is anything like my dad, he's been using the same old gym bag for... forever! A gym bag upgrade or a specialty bag for whatever sport he plays (bat bag, a bag for his golf clubs, etc) is a something he may not even think he wanted but will definitely appreciate. My mom got this bat bag like this one for my dad a few months ago, and he uses it for his six (yes, six!) softball games each week.
New running shoes. New spinning shoes. New cleats. If your dad is active, he'll be in need of new ones soon, if not right now. I love all the cool colors in this pair of running kicks.
Any active person needs some good food to fuel their activity. Personalized grilling gear is a nice touch, as are some yummy sauces or spices to help him whip up a variety of flavorful goodness.
If you're willing to splurge (or go in with some siblings), a GoPro will help you dad film all of his active adventures. Plus, it'll be awesome to have one for family vacations.
Insulated Water Bottle
If you dad enjoys being out in the hot sun, a double-walled insulated water bottle like this one. will be an awesome gift. His water will stay cold all day long to help keep him hydrated. A hydrated dad is a happy dad (that's a saying, right?).
