Men's Journal is back today with yet another interesting list. This time out, the magazine brings us its picks for 11 must-see adventure documentaries that you should have on your list.
The list includes some classic films from the past 45+ years that cover topics like mountaineering, rock climbing, skiing, surfing, and even hunting big game in Africa. The films cover historical expeditions, space travel, much more, and at least two of the documentaries were made by Werner Herzog, who has certainly left a lasting legacy on film.
Some of the titles, like Touching the Void and Grizzly Man, you're likely to have heard of before, and maybe even seen already. Others, like Valley Uprising, are modern classics, while The Man Who Skied Down Everest, dates all the way back to 1975. Of course, each entry includes a description of the film and why it deserves a spot on the list.
I'll let you discover the rest of the documentaries that earn a place amongst MJ's favorite adventure films. Chances are, you've heard of a few of these already but some may be completely new. In which case, its time to start tracking these films down and adding them to your filmography.
