It feels like only yesterday that we celebrated New Year, but alas Christmas is almost here already! With 2015 all but done, there’s still time to buy a few last-minute healthy presents for your loved ones! Whether they love training or are just getting into it, here’s my Top-10 Fitness Christmas ideas list to fit all levels and pockets…
1) FOR THE SERIOUS RUNNER…
At Asics flagship store on Oxford Street you can undergo a full body analysis in their running lab. Whether you’re a total beginner or whether your friend is on his/her the data you collect strips away years of guesswork and ego, and leaves you with a core level of knowledge based on 23 pages of data and personal stats, to ensure you train in the most effective and sustainable way. At £160 this 2.5 hour assessment is a relatively small investment which can save years of pain further down the line. THIS was my experience.
If you’d like to get a similar evaluation from Asics, you can book in using the following contact details:

2) THE ULTIMATE TRAINER…
Adidas Ultra Boost Trainer – for me this was my 2015 favorite. The patented Adidas boost technology delivers in spades!
The webbed ‘upper’ part of the trainer stretches in sympathy with your foot as you strike the ground, and the midsole’s 3000 energy capsules encourage super-efficent energy recycling, putting a supposed 20% springier spring in your step than the previous generation Boost.
Whenever buying a shoe go for a fitting to ensure it’s the right trainer for you.

3) FOR THE FASHIONISTA…
Monreal London the Sports Lux brand taking London by storm, seen in Vogue and and all major magazines, here worn by uber-model Lily Aldridge, is the ultimate bag – perfect for in and outside of the gym!

4) FOR THE TECHY TYPE…
The Apple Watch is by far the best Activity Tracker I have found on the market. It documents steps taken, calories burnt, heart rate (no waistband required), workouts, and connects to your favorite aps such as MyFitnessPal. Aside from all the Fitness features it also takes phone calls, pushes diary reminders, allows you to speak your response to text messages etc… See my recent REVIEW for more! Buy here, http://www.apple.com/watch/buy/
The Apple Watch is super intuitive to navigate, and effectively does all the thinking for me, operating unobtrusively in the background so that I just consume the fruits of its data.
5) SKIPPING ROPE…
A boxer’s favorite cardio equipment and for good reason – 20 minutes of intense skipping can burn 4-500 calories, improves footwork, speed, coordination, stamina, agility, and it strengthens the muscles in your legs + abdominal, back, chest, arms and shoulders muscles. Light as a feather, put it in your bag and take it with you anywhere!

6) FOR THE YOGI…
Any regular yoga-goer will know the beauty of having your own mat. Sharing a yoga mat which gets used hundreds of times each week by sweaty feet is a little on the unhygienic side. There are a million different mats out there. I’ve fallen in love with mine – aside from an array of different colorful patterns to choose from, these microfibre-topped mats can be thrown in the washing machine to keep them fresher for longer!

7) POWER BEAT(S) OF THE DRUM…
A good playlist can be transformative for any workout and really push you through those last reps! Beats headphones deliver great sound, are wireless, water resistant, have 6 hour rechargeable battery, and super lightweight. Oh did I mention you can take hands-free calls and adjust music!? Great sound and they just d0n’t get in the way!

8) FOR THE HEALTHY CHEF…
A good blender is essential for anyone who’s serious about their cooking. Whip up perfectly textured healthy sauces, soups, smoothies and much more. Whilst there are so many on the market with varied price ranges, I have personally fallen in love with my Vitamix and use it almost daily – you can even make healthy pure-fruit sorbets!
