Let’s head on a little trip to Austria to continue my summer of whites. Gruner Veltliner is similar in style to a Reisling, a beautiful golden color and a bit sweet. Not overpower just a great white wine to enjoy with a salad or sitting around a bonfire like I did.
We had stopped at the small town liquor store near Scott’s parents (need to support those small businesses!) and I picked up a red, this white for around $12 and another white for everyday drinking. With friends and family over for dinner I figured this was a good excuse to try this one out. I knew the two white wine fans that were coming over would really like it. You get a lot of citrus, a bit of tartness and just a great wine in general.
