Wine Wednesday Marco V Port

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

Sorry for the delay in posting this week. I am trying  to figure out my new posting schedule and am thinking it may be Monday/Wednesday/Friday with a recipe, wine post and fitness post each week. My time is becoming more and more limited! And while I LOVE blogging I need to prioritize a few things. I think 3 times a week is pretty good goal. When I started this blog in 2009 I had no idea how long it would last and I’ve had a pretty good run. My goal was never to be a full time blogger, I write for me; about the things I am passionate about.

So I am still here, but just not as often! If I have a great post that I am just itching to get up, I may be writing a bit more but this is such an amazing creative outlet for me. I have to continue doing it.

My birthday was Sunday and we had the most wonderful day, sleeping in, working out, playing bingo with family, heading to a great dinner and then opening up a bottle of Chateau St. Croix Marco V Port that Scott has had since 2007. A nice aged port that is meant to go with cigars but has that rich deep red, almost brown color and flavors of smoke, oak, deep berries. This is one of those that you have an itty bitty glass of and feel all warm after! The only downside to this is that it’s a 375ml bottle (half a normal bottle) and is $30. But for a special occasion it was fantastic!
