Wine Wednesday Lawrence Elk Black Currant Wine

I had a first last week in my trying of wine. A wine from South Dakota. I didn’t even know they made wine (I should have known since every state in the U.S. has at least 1 vineyard) and they have been making wine since the 1800’s. Pretty impressive!

Our friends Ron and Christine were vacationing in the badlands last fall and happened to stop at a winery and were nice enough to bring us back a bottle. While it wasn’t my favorite wine ever it was the first black currant wine I’ve had and it was really unique. So I am adding this one to the glad I experienced it list.

I do give them points for a funny label!
