Wine Wednesday Broglia Gavi “La Meriana”

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

We have had the strangest weather the past few months, we basically had no spring, a decent amount of snow in May and temperature swings of about 40 degrees. Oh the joys of living in the upper Midwest.

On one of those unseasonably warm days (lets hope this is not our 1 day of summer) I broke out a bottle of white that I purchased at the Sunfish Cellars Big Tasting Event at the end of April. An Italian white that was crisp, no hints of oak and perfect for sitting on the patio.

Gavi is an Italian grape that is pale yellow in color, it has noticeable hints of peach and citrus and is a great wine to just sit and sip. This is a white I will be buying again, especially when it on sale for under $13!
