Wine Wednesday 2011 Val Du Charron Black Countess

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

When I came home on Sunday night from a week in Nashville for work; Scott had the entire house cleaned, flowers, wine and dinner ready. Seriously! Best.Husband.Ever. When I get home from a long trip all I want to do is put on something comfy clothes, get unpacked, give everyone a kiss and have a home cooked meal.

The best part of this home cooked meal? A South African Wine, Val Du Charron Black Countess. A beautiful blend of shiraz, pinotage, mataro, carignan and grenache. Plum, cherry, a bit of vanilla and dark chocolate. A serious red wine. At $24.99 this is more than we normally spend but it was part of our Swirl Wine Club.

It went so well with the ribeye with mushrooms and onions. I was a happy girl in my comfy clothes, back at home. A much needed night to relax!
