Wine Wednesday 2010 Gracenote Pinot Noir

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

We often play grab a bottle of random wine from the wine rack. You play that game too right? Close your eyes and pick one. Maybe you will get something special or maybe it will just be a good weekday evening kind of wine. But whatever it is we open it and enjoy. That feels like a win/win to me.

I am leaving tomorrow for Omaha for work until Sunday and I really wanted a good meal and some wine before my busy weekend. So I reached to the top of the hutch and pulled a bottle of the rack. What did I grab? Gracenote Pinot Noir

A bottle I didn’t even remember us having (we have at least 30 bottles right now). I don’t normally love pinot noir but this was surprisingly good. Jamy, juicy and such a beautiful color. The label was a great design, simple yet intriguing. I always tell myself that I should remove them and save for art. I will have to keep reminding myself of that!

Retailing for around $23 a bottle this is a bit more than what we spend for an everyday bottle but it was such a great wine!
