Another tag to keep myself busy with! I love these tags and again, thanks Sophie from Born To Buy for including me in the loop with this one!
1. When did you begin loving make up?
I was first properly introduced to my childhood best friend Vivien when we were in high school. My lovely best friend (who is more like a sister, really) was the one who introduced me to different eye shadow colours etc and we would explore with her make up and have fun with it lol. That is my first memory of being proper interested in make up, although I have always been exposed to it since my mom loves make up and my aunt used to be a beauty editor.
2. How do you feel without make up?
Hmm it really depends. I always wear make up when I go out, even if it's just a little. At home, I don't usually wear any unless I'm in the mood to play around with some looks. So to sum it up, if I'm outside with no make up, I would honestly feel naked. But if I'm at home with no make up, I wouldn't care less really.
I would like to go out without make up but I live in a small town and every time I go out, it's almost always a given that I will definitely run into someone.
3. What do you like about make up?
It is my form of art indulgence! Like Sophie, I can't draw/paint at all. I once complimented a mommy blogger about her art posts and said I wish I was artistic like that and she reminded me that make up is really an art too! Different colours, brushes, techniques etc. I love playing with different colours; I hoard heaps of eyeshadow colours and eyeliners!
Of course, I also like make up because I think it helps to enhance my features and hide imperfections. Which does help me feel more confident, though I'm not saying that it is essential for confidence!
4. List three 'holy grail' items.
ELES Face Primer
I mentioned it in a blog post here. I have never quite used a primer like it; it's beautiful.
Maybelline Big Lash Mascara
I raved about it in a post here but hadn't actually called it my HG then. I am on to my 2nd one now; it's everything I look for in a mascara. Doesn't clump, buildable volume, smudge proof, big brush to get every lash.
Real Techniques Brushes
I can't pick one though I do always reach for the contour brush in the Core Collection & the setting brush.
Thanks for reading and please feel free to do this tag if you're interested! Feel free to post your url below so I can read yours :)
