I felt great today. Nothing to complain about. I was expecting to wake up with a headache but that wasn't the case. I guess I will feel "The Hangover" tomorrow. This morning I was able to cook myself breakfast. I made eggs with chicken sausage and bacon. On the side I ate sweet bell pepper and blackberries. I'm sure a lot of you would throw your bell pepper in your eggs but I'm really weird about cooked veggies mixed with other items. I'm extremely picky when it comes to textures. The softness of the egg mixed with the crunch of the bell pepper would freak me out. I also had coffee with canned coconut milk. I didn't add any coconut oil because I figured the eggs, sausage, bacon and coconut milk fulfilled my fat needs. I went by Starbucks and grabbed an iced Passion tea. I did ask the barista to see the ingredients in their strawberry preserves. The box did say 100% fruit juice, which is allowed. It is made with juice from strawberries and grapes. I asked them to throw a splash in my Passion tea. I've searched all over the internet and I have yet to find an answer to my question - Are Starbucks strawberry preserves Whole 30 compliant? So if you know the answer, please comment below. It added just a bit of sweetener without any gross after flavor. Really tasty.
For lunch I had leftover cashew pork. I may have to make a huge batch of this on the weekends to reheat all week. The flavor is always so much better on the second day. I also ate sugar snap peas and some more bell pepper.
I had my normal afternoon cup of coffee except I poured it over ice. I actually enjoyed this very much. I think I'm already getting used to the no sweetener thing. The coconut milk really helps because it's so creamy.
Dinner was Aidell's artichoke and garlic chicken sausage, baked potato with ghee and broccoli. I love potatoes. I'm pretty sure I can eat them at every meal. I used to smother my baked potatoes with butter, sour cream, bacon and cheese. Tonight, I thoroughly enjoyed my potato with just ghee.
I forgot to mention yesterday that I am drinking TONS of water. I can't even count how many glasses I've had over the last two days. I haven't been hungry in between meals and I'm sure my water intake plays a major role in that. I also can't believe how many vegetables I'm consuming. I really hope I can keep this up.
