One of the most exciting drugstore launches in December was these new liquid lipsticks by Wet n Wild. It was every beauty addict's life mission to find these. I mean $4.99 for a liquid lipstick? Yes, please!
I picked up three shades: Missy and Fierce, Pink Really Hard, and Nice to Fuchsia.
Missy and Fierce is a gorgeous true red that I absolutely love. It applies with the ease of a lip gloss and it takes about 10 minutes or so to dry down. It is fully opaque in one swipe and it isn't streaky or patchy at all. In terms of application and pigment, it is probably one of the best liquid lipsticks I have tried. It doesn't accentuate dry flakes or lines. It is surprisingly comfortable to wear and it doesn't dry out my lips. And it doesn't budge. At all. It is even difficult to take off. I had to do some serious scrubbing to get it off. It doesn't feel drying or uncomfortable at all.
Pink Really Hard is a gorgeous color, but I don't like the formulation quite as much as Missy and Fierce. It is a little less opaque and more streaky. That is generally normal for shades that are this light, and it isn't too bad. The biggest issue I have is that this one does accentuate dry flakes and it feels more drying. It still stays on very well.
Nice to Fuchsia is my favorite one in terms of color and formula. It is a beautiful pinky berry that is perfect for all seasons. Like Missy and Fierce, it applies evenly and it is fully opaque. This is the smoothest one of the bunch. It doesn't accentuate fine lines or dry patches. It doesn't even feel drying on the lips even after hours of wear. It feels like a second skin and it still lasts as long as the other shades. It is just easier to remove.
I'm actually very impressed with Wet n Wild's newest liquid lipsticks. I wasn't a huge fan of the ones they launched in the fall, but these are much better in my opinion. In fact, the color payoff and comfort throughout the wear time is better than a lot of higher end liquid lipsticks I have tried. These are only $.99 at Walgreens and they are well worth checking out.
