Wet n Wild Fergie Holiday 2014 Sets

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
When you are a beauty hoarder like myself, this time of year is a highly difficult time because of all the things.  I mean have you seen some of the gorgeous offerings out there? A lot of which I cannot afford right now, but I can afford Wet n Wild. I got three of their Holiday sets for $15 (and there are more that I do not have). These three just stood out the most.  And you will see why in just a second.
I'm going to go ahead and apologize for the length of this post.  I got a little snap happy with the glitter palettes, and I couldn't choose which shots I liked better.

Snowfall Soiree and Comet Loves Cupid

Here are the goods:
  • Shimmer Eye Pencil Collection: Includes 4 shimmery eye pencils and an eye sharpener (that you will need sooner than you expect).
  • Color Icon Glitter Palettes in Comet Loves Cupid and Snowfall Soiree
Those Glitter Palettes are GORGEOUS! At least in the pan. Alone, I don't think they will wear well at all.  But I do think they have potential as an eyeshadow topper, provided they don't crease, which I anticipate they will.  Boy are they pretty to look at though. Especially Snowfall Soiree with its stunning, vibrant shades.  Comet Loves Cupid is nothing to sneeze at, though.  The emerald green, copper, and taupe-y shade are lovely.  Plus the names of the palettes are cute.  I didn't swatch every shade, but I did include a few from each palette to give you an idea of what they look like.

Now on to the eye pencils.  The texture of these is really nice.  They are very soft, but not quite as creamy as say the 24/7 liners from Urban Decay.  I did experience a problem with these pencils right off: the tip broke off.  Which, ironically, helped the pencils swatch better and more smoothly.  As long as you don't make the tip really sharp and pointed, I don't expect this to be a problem again.  But of course I will let you know in a full review.  This set comes with 4 shimmery pencils and a small sharpener.  A navy with holographic shimmer, a shimmery copper, pale silver, and black with silver shimmer.  All of them had really good color payoff, except the silver.

I couldn't get a good shot of the last shade because the wind was working against me and the best lighting is always outside.
For only $5, I don't have many gripes yet.  Of course that could change once I wear them. If you are on a budget for gift buying (most of us are), Wet n Wild has some lovely selections.  These three sets are just a drop in the bucket.  I found these at Walgreens.
Have you seen these pop up yet?  What other Holiday beauty products are you liking?
