Wayanad Hills Located in the high ranges of the Western Ghats a rich bi0-diversity centre
in Kerala, Wayanad is a beautiful hill station that occupies and important place in the map of Kerala Tourism. 

Bedecked beautifully with the uniqueness of the nature, breathtaking landscape rich in flora and fauna, vast stretches of rolling hills dotted with coffee, tea, rubber and pepper plantation, cascading waterfalls, pristine lakes and cool ambiance weather conditions. Pookot Lake 

One outstanding place to visit in Wayanad is Pookot Lake. Adorned with unspoiled natural beauty, tourist here can enjoy boating witness the glory of the nature that is simply beyond words to describe. Children Park, Aquarium also add to the beauty of Pookot Lake. 


Soochipara Waterfall 

Soochipara Waterfall also known as Sentinel Waterfalls is a spectacular three tiered waterfalls that cascades delightfully from the height of 656 feet. The bountiful flow of the water is feast to the eyes. 

Edakkal Caves 

Edakkal Caves are not only tourist attractions but the prehistoric rock etchings found on the rock have grabbed the attention of the archaeologists and historians from all over the world. 

Literally meaning, “stone in between”, the cave has a pictorial writings that is believed to be of 5000 BC that was written by the Neolothic man, indicating of the pre-historical civilization in the Wayanad Region. Edakkal cave have become an important tourist attraction in this region after the several enchanting and magnetizing natural attractions. 

Mathunga Wildlife Sanctuary 

Wayanad National Park also known as Mathunga Wildlife Sanctuary is a renowned wildlife park covering an area of 345 sq kms. Mathunga Wildlife Sanctuary is renowned for housing huge number of flora and fauna, among some are on marked with the line of endangered. 

The park was selected for specimen of elephant project and since then the number of elephants in this region has thrive, which can even be seen on visit to this sanctuary. Apart from Elephants various other species of animals have made Mathunga Wildlife Sanctuary their home that include panthers, leopard, jungle cats, civet, tigers, spotted deer, monkeys, bears and wild dogs. 

Besides these, there are several other attractions in Wayanad that include Tholpetty, Karapuzha Dam, Bathery Jain, Kaduvakkuzhi, Chembra Hill, Thirunelli Temple, Meenmutty Waterfalls, Banasura Sagar Dam and Wayanad Bird Sanctuary.
