Walgreens Haul! (And Some Swatches)

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
It has been a really long time since I have even bought any makeup, so I felt it was time to break the dry spell.  Instead of splurging at Sephora or a department store, I opted for some new drugstore releases.  And I am happy that I did so.

The product I am most excited about is Burt's Bees new lip crayon.  Based on first impressions, they are going to be pretty fabulous.  Being the southern girl that I am, I opted for the lovely shade Carolina Coast.  Carolina Coast is a nice, soft rosy pink.  Based on preliminary swatches, these lip crayons are going to be pigmented and lightly moisturizing while adding a bit of sheen.  Walgreens also had a $1.50 off coupon for these babies. =)
And how adorable is the honeycomb design on the cap?

Next I walked over to the Maybelline display.  Their summer collection is so bright and beachy that I could not resist.  The Color Tattoos look absolutely gorgeous.  I love anything shimmery, and it is even better if it makes me think of the sea.  Shimmering Sea and Sunwashed Sky do just that.  I also purchased one of the new Color Whisper lipsticks in Peach Punch.  It is a lovely, bright shade but something tells me it will not be all that flattering on me.  And I just had to have at least one of the Bleached Neons Color Show polishes.  I went with Pink Punch, which is a lovely light peachy pink.  It the pictures, it comes across much more pink than what it actually looks like on my nails.

Nothing says summer like a little bit of bronzer and some palm trees, am I right?  Wet n Wild seems to think so with three new Color Icon Bronzer and Blush combos.  I went with the lightest shade, Hold Me Close.  The colors are very light, which suits me just fine as a I am a bit scared of bronzers.  Another perk is the design, it just screams beach vacation.
The top swatch is both shades combined, the middle is the blush and the last one is of just the bronzer.

Last but not least is a shade of Cover Girl's Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in shade 360, which is a lovely indigo.  The packaging makes it seem like it would be more navy, so I was a little disappointed.  Still lovely, though.
