Vichy is a great brand and their products are ideal for sensitive skin, so I was looking forward to trying out the Normaderm 3 in 1 with the hope of it keeping my oily skin under control. See what it does and how well it works.
The Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 is a cleanser, a scrub and a mask, making its a very versatile skincare solution, suitable for both men and women with imperfection-prone skin. The clay-like texture is a strong agent which helps to clear pores, and also cleanse and mattify skin. It’s made up of 25% clay which is good for tackling oily skin and removing impurities from skin, making it ideal for someone with oily or combination skin. I tend to find that leaving it on for longer keeps oil at bay for longer, and the great thing is that it doesn’t harden over time.
The smooth green texture has small exfoliating beads in it, and it coats skin well and it spreads easily. It smells super fresh and it’s so easy to use, although does need quite a bit of scrubbing to get all of the cream off. It makes looking after your skin easy, and it leaves it fresh and oil-free. However, I’ve found that you will need to hydrate your skin again over night to stop it becoming dry. I’ve also found my skin doesn’t stay oil free for more than a few hours, but out of everything I’ve tried this so far has the best mattifying powers.
Another good thing is that it’s fine for sensitive skin because it’s paraben and soap free.
Coming in at £11 a 125ml tube the Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 is not cheap, but it does work better than any other similar products I’ve tried. I would have liked longer staying powers though, and possibly a product which wasn’t quite so difficult to scrub off. I also think it’s a little bit overpriced too, but only by a couple of pounds.
