Fun February Facts: Feb 10th was the day in 1763 that The Treaty of Paris ends the French Indian War and France cedes Quebec to Great Britain, in 1996 the IBM supercomputer Deep Blue defeats Garry Kasparov in chess for the first time and is the birthday of Jim Whittaker (1929) who became the first American to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

On to the valley...

I like to head down the street from my work and walk or hike in Buck Gulley, a nice trail in a small valley in the hills of Newport Coast. It's a nice, quiet place with lots of little wildlife and flowers and offers a great opportunity for me to connect to nature and ground myself to Mother Earth. Here's just a minute of what it's like to sit down and take in what's around me when I spend time in the valley...
