The Macy's in Clearwater already had the new Lancome Fall 2012 Midnight Roses collection in store. I picked up a couple of stand out items.
1.) L'Absolu Creme de Mat in Magie Poupre. This is an entirely new product from Lancome and it comes in three gorgeous shades. However, two of them are a really dark plum and I did not think they would be flattering Magie Poupre is a gorgeous matte bright berry that seems like it will be flattering on all skin tones.
2.) Color Design Eye Brightening All in One Palette in Violet Magnetique. Like the other Color Design palettes, the quality is wonderful. I cam never get over how smooth and pigmented the shadows are.
Next was Nordstom, where my mom got some pretty great stuff that I would like to share with you guys.
1.) Lancome Nutrix Royal Body Lotion. My mom has used this and the body butter for a long time. She has been slathering this one since we have been on vacation. It has kept her skin from drying out and it smells great.
2.) Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow in Latte. This is a smooth matte cream that pairs well with all kinds of other shades.
3.) With these purchases, you got a Lancome gift. This is probably the best Lancome gift I have seen out. Reason being that it comes with a sample size of a Color Design All in One Eye Brightening palette. You could choose from Petal Pusher (warm) or Mauve Cherie (cool). We went with the warm set. This also comes with their Bifacil eye makeup remover, deluxe sample of Hypnose Drama mascara, Absolue Premium Replenishing Cream and a purple cosmetic bag.
"Petal Pusher" Palette
Lancome Color Design Lipstick "Designer Bloom"
Before we left to go on vacation, I ordered an exclusive NARS set from Nordstrom. It is called the "Love Rite" set. I can go ahead and tell you that this will be going back. I just can't like NARS products. For the price, they are just not that great. This set was $55 and came with 4 items: Orgasm Illuminator, Catlanque shadow trio and lipglosses in Greek Holiday and Turkish Delight. From Sephora. I was like a kid in a candy store in the Sephora in Tampa's International Plaza mall.
1.) Too Faced "The Return of Sexy" palette. These shadows look so much like various Lancome Color Design All in One Brightening Palettes. The quality is also very similar. Lucky for me, they looked like palettes that I wanted. This palette has a total of 15 shadows, a full sized Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Black and a deluxe sample of Shadow Insurance.
2.) Too Faced La Creme Lip Color in Razzle Dazzle Rose. This felt so smooth and moisturizing when swatched. I can't wait to try this on my lips.
3.) Tarte Maracuja Blush & Glow in Moonlight. I don't know what it is, but something really drew me to this product. I have also never tried anything from Tarte before.
4.) Korres Cheek Butter in Eros Coral. I hate to admit it, but the packaging drew me in. Plus I have seen a few magazines mention how great it is.
5.) NARS Single Shadow in Biarritz, which is a beige shadow that my mom got, NARS shadow works for her and this will be a good all over shade.
6.) Sephora Collection Extractor Tool. It was on sale for $7 and it is a handy thing to have around.
7.) Algenist face cream, which was a 100 point perk. This is something my mom picked out since she is interested in finding good face creams.
8.) Sephora Professional Smudge Brush and Small Eyeshadow Brush. These are nice brushes with sturdy handles. They even come with a top that snaps so you can easily protect and travel with them.
So that is what we picked up on vacation. I have a lot of stuff to test :)
