TWIW Part 2

Hello hello,
What a week. I thought it was appropriate to summarize my workouts with another installment of "This Week in Workouts" or "TWIW":
TWIW Part 2
Monday: Trail Run & Plank
Tuesday: Cardio & Lower Body & Plank
Wednesday: Cardio & Upper Body & Plank
Thursday: Off
Friday: BodyStep Class & Plank
Saturday: Off
Sunday: BodyFlow Class & Plank
I just got home from Halifax yesterday. We had our most successful club opening this past week. over 3400 people came out to check out the newest fitness club in Atlantic Canada.

TWIW Part 2

People. So many people. It was awesome.

Today was supposed to be a longer run day for me, but I woke up at 8am after sleeping since 9pm the night before and recognized that my body needed yoga. I was right. The hardest part was trying to turn off my brain during the meditation at the end. But I did. Sort of. I am exactly two weeks out from my Army Run half marathon in Ottawa, Ontario. I am very nervous. I am also excited. I will get to spend some time with my family as well as meet up with my Foodie Pen Pal who is ALSO running the half! What a coincidence.
I was also able to work some magic in the kitchen today. I saw a delicious recipe on a blog that I read regularly called Crazy Healthy Fit for Chocolate Pumpkin Almond Cookies. So I made my own. I will post the recipe on my "It's Yummy in Here" tab at the top of my blog.
I also tried a little experiment. It's pretty self explanatory, I made little "sandwiches" with apple slices, coconut, almonds and almond butter. Make sure you "butter" both sides of the "bread" so everything sticks together. If you like cinnamon you can sprinkle a little bit on top. Yum!
TWIW Part 2
 Lastly, I will fill you in on how my 100 minutes Planking challenge is going. I was able to plank every day. Today was the first day that I had to "plank alone" since last Monday. So I just took a pic of my timer at proof:

 I have 89 minutes 20 seconds of planking to go in September. I am a little bit behind schedule. But there is still a lot of September left. I think the best part of this little challenge so far is that I have been able to get my entire team planking. I had a friend ask me what I was going to do with all of these planks. Lol. I told him I was either going to build a log cabin or get a shredded core. One or the other.  Oh ya before I forget, tomorrow is the last day to enter in to win "My Favourite Things" Giveaway.
