Turquoise Colours: EOTD

By Makemeupmandy @mandywebb28
How's everyone on this cold, rainy day? The rain is pouring down relentlessly and I don't think it has any intention of slowing down any time soon. Just a short post today of what I did when bub was having her afternoon nap! I just felt inspired and took out my 'art' collection!

I bought this set from Target some months ago for just $8 (here). I love the shimmery vibrant colours though I wish there were matte shades in there. Other than that, there's really nothing to complain about. The pigmentation is great and they are really easy to work with.

Unfortunately, this photo is really untrue to the original shades! They look matte here but they are really shimmer shades like in the previous pic.

As most of my brushes were still drying out, I only used these 3 brushes.
Covergirl brush which came with my Covergirl palette. I love this brush; very soft and effective in both loosely sweeping base colours or intensively patting accent colours.
Might sound crazy but I mainly used my Sasatinnie gel eyeliner brush to do most of the work! I have never tried doing that before but I love how it allowed me to work precisely with the colours. I might actually do this again though I'm sure this is really really unprofessional hah!
And my Artiste Professional contour brush... for blending. Yes, mish mash and misusing of the brushes. But whatever works for the situation goes!

I'm no professional obviously and am still learning to improve on different techniques and explore different styles & methods. It's really fun for me and I just love playing with different colours. I have been extending the shades to more like a cat eye style but I think I want to start trying out something different. I have never been an artistic person in painting/drawing so this is my outlet!
Base color & highlight: Shade 1
Crease colour: Shade 2, 3, 6
Outer colour: Shade 6
Waterline: Shade 2 (inner), Shade 7 (outer)
What are you doing this crazy rainy day?
