Sea Buckthorn... have you heard of it? It wasn't long ago when I first heard of Sea Buckthorn and once I was able to put my hands on a few products that contained this ingredient, I had to dig a little deeper to find out what all the hype was about.
Apparently, Sea Buckthorn is an herb used for its leaves and flowers and has been called a "miracle berry" used for everything from skin ailments, to hair, even to internal usage. It contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, fatty acids and powerful antioxidants. Sea Buckthorn is often used in cosmetics and skin care products for its anti-aging properties, treatment of dry and problem skin, skin discoloration and acne.

Step 2: Sea Buckthorn Deep Hydrating Serum
The Sea Buckthorn Deep Hydrating Serum is meant to hydrate the skin, this would be step two in your facial regimen after cleansing your face. The hydrating serum is supposed to tone, improve fine lines and tighten the face. The texture is smooth and silky when you first rub it on but soon becomes tight and a it tacky. It didn't necessarily moisturize my face, but my face did feel toned and taut after applying. For $34.97, I'm not sure this would be a product that would be in my rotation. There are hydrating products that are a lot more cost efficient that would provide almost the same punch. The benefits of the Deep Hydrating Serum are phenomenal but the price just isn't practical for me.

Step 3: Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil
The Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil is what I've been using as my moisturizer at night. I use it at night only because this oil will temporarily tint your skin a bright orange color. It would be hard to wear during the day with or without makeup because the color will make your skin glow ridiculously. The Berry Oil is said to protect, replenish, moisten and restore the skin, as it is filled with 30-35 percent Omega 7, Vitamins E and A. I've noticed a slight reduction in breakouts since I've started using this oil although, it could be a combination of using all of the products together. The Berry Oil goes for $15.97 online.
Step 4: Sea Buckthorn Oil Blend Omega-7 Blend Vitamins
The Omega-7 Complete soft-gel vitamins are said to have the highest concentration of Omega-7 on the market. In addition to Omega-7, there is Omega 9, 6 and 3, Vitamins C, E, B1, B6 and β-carotene. Omega-7 is excellent for the skin and skin cells, and helps in rejuvenating dry, cracked skin.These vitamins will set you back $29.97, but for me, the benefits definitely outweigh the price.
