The last of my recaps of our honeymoon in Thailand. Our last few days were spent along the River Kwai. A beautiful resort that was only accessible by boat. We disconnected! No phone, no tv and the internet was spotty and we weren’t online more than once a day. This was our time to relax. We reflected on the wedding, the trip and what will be next.
We stayed at the River Kwai resotel and had our own little hut. Pretty awesome! A jungle resort that was surrounded by amazing nature. I highly recommend this place!
The one minor downfall, only one restaurant on the island. It wasn’t that overpriced but it was more expensive than some of the other places we had eaten. Your option is to eat there or eat before you come back to the resort.

We really did take it easy the last few days and only did one activity. We road elephants! That was Scott’s biggest wish for Thailand and we had to experience that. I am so glad we did. A nearby elephant camp offered rides and the chance to interact with them. My one requirement was that the elephants needed to be treated well. It was very obvious that they were, no beating, proper diets and lots of exercise.

I would go back to Thailand! I don’t know if that would happen since there are so many more countries to see. We had great food, got a chance to relax, saw a lot of the country and made some new friends. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect honeymoon.

Next trip? I have no idea! We were thinking about a few places in South America or an Ireland/Scotland combination. Decisions decisions. Nothing booked yet but I am always on the look out for a good deal.
