One thing that our bodies seek is pleasure.  When you have meaning and purpose, forgiveness, love, the ability to express yourself, and fulfilling career, and life balance, you are happy.  Pleasure is at its highest.

However, when you deny yourself these things, you are not happy.  However, your body still wants pleasure.  So where do you get it from?

  • overeating comfort food
  • drinking
  • doing drugs
  • smoking

All the things that can lead to weight gain in most cases.  

Also, when you are happy and full of pleasure, your metabolism is churning on all cylinders.  Just about anything you eat is used for energy.

However, when you lack happiness in your life, your metabolism is affected drastically.  It decreases because your metabolism is also affected by your thoughts and feelings towards yourself, your life, and others.

So what can you do today to change the parts of your life that  you’re not happy about?  You have the power to create the life that you want, no one else does.
