If you are a Platinum Member at Ulta, you know that one of the absolute best perks is the occasional 20% off your entire purchase coupons. These are amazing because you can even use them on prestige brands. Well, at least most of them. Somehow I managed to make it to the last day of the coupon. Normally I rush right to Ulta as soon as it arrives in the mail.
My wish list actually was not very long and with the exception of the NYX contour kit and some Tony Moly sheet masks (yes, Ulta sells their products now, at least online), I was able to get everything.
The first two items on my list were the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and the new Love Flush Long Lasting 16 Hour Blush. I spent more time than usual trying to pick out a good shade in both items. For the foundation, I decided on Ivory. I am almost always the one of the two lightest shades and I swatched it on the back of my wrist. So here's hoping that it works out. As for Love Flush, I got Justify My Love, which is a lovely shade of pink. Can't go wrong with that.
I also picked up three new skincare items, including two face masks. The first thing I went for was the new Burt's Bees Cleansing Oil. Even though I have combination/oily skin, I like using cleansing oils as a makeup remover. Plus my skin does get dry from time to time.
I also got two Freeman clay masks that put a new, interesting twist on things. The first mask is the Sparking Pear Pore Cleansing Mask. This one is pretty cool because it is supposed whipped and lightweight to prevent the tightening effect that a lot of clay masks have. I also got the Tea and Lemon Clay Mask, which is actually a peel off mask. It is supposed to have cleansing, oil absorbing and toning benefits. I used it tonight and didn't have any problems. Well, nothing serious anyways. The texture is pretty thick, which makes it a little challenging to apply. Secondly, it is painful to remove, More painful than previous peel off masks I have used. But I didn't experience any tingling or irritation.
Tomorrow I will be trying out the foundation and blush. Fingers crossed that they work out well.
What have you hauled recently? I'd love to hear about it.
