A recap of a few of the books I have been reading lately. I am kind of a geek when it comes to healthy recipes, workouts, and fitness information. The more I can get my hands on the more I want to read. Ulysses Press does a great job of publishing health and fitness related books and they have sent me a few of their best titles.
Since I just finished a 21 day course of 1,000mg of antibiotics my body was just not feeling like it’s normal happy self. With just finishing reading The 2-Day Superfood Cleanse and The Yoga Body Cleanse they had some great ideas to get me feeling back to normal. Of course I knew these things already, lots of leafy greens, fruits/vegetables, throwing in a juice or two and working on relaxing. Being reminded of these things is always a good.
The Athlete’s Cookbook has recipes developed to help you keep your body in peak shape. While I am not be a traditional athlete I do push my body pretty hard! They have a peanut butter smoothie that was so delicious, not sure why I haven’t been putting nut butter in my smoothies?
And if you are looking for new ideas for ab workouts check out the Ab Wheel Workouts book, my gym has one and it helps me move on from the basics like plank, supermans, hanging leg raises etc. Variety is key!
