Remember how I said I was going to blog more this year? Yeah, I'm not off to a great start. The time just gets away from me. I still need to send out Thank You cards from our wedding gifts! Anyways, we had so much rain last week in Southern California. We really needed it and I love rain so I wasn't complaining at all. I snapped this photo after the clouds cleared one evening.
The rain brings the snow. This is a view from my work. I love seeing those snow covered mountains this time of year. I love rain and snow but I think I love it so much because I don't live in it every day. Ninety percent of the time we have sunshine here.
It makes me really happy when I catch my husband reading my blog. And yes, we still have our Christmas tree up. We decided to keep it up a little longer and now we're calling it a winter tree. Stephen said I could even get seasonal ornaments and change it - Valentine's Day, Easter, Summer, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc. I like the idea. Now I just need to see if I can find ornaments for each season.
Vader sure does love attention. He whines and growls in a nice way now when Stephen and I are hugging or cuddling. He wants to be loved on all the time. Poor Stephen. He'll spend time with me on the couch and then he'll move down to lay in Vader's bed with him.
I went to see a dermatologist yesterday for the very first time. I've been experiencing painful cystic acne on and off for ten years now. I wish I would have gone to see a dermatologist years ago but I always thought I could figure it out on my own. Turns out, I can't. The dermatologist prescribed me some medication and a topical medication. They also injected two of my cystic pimples with cortisone. I have a total of four on my face right now but two of them are starting to die down - because I've picked at them for over a week now. You can see some of my blemishes in the photo below. I'm hoping to have clear skin in a few weeks. The dermatologist is sure he can get my acne under control but he did say it would be a process. I'll keep you updated.
It just so happens to be Throwback Thursday. My mom sent me this photo yesterday. My parents look exactly the same. I have never ever thought I looked like my brother...but I kind of see it in this photo. This was 1989.
