I am writing this quick little post on Sunday morning in my hotel room. I am heading out with my team today to go Sea Kayaking. Amazing, right? This is definitely one of the perks of my job.
Last night we went out for what seemed like forever, but in reality was 10 hours, which when you are out feels like forever. The evening ended in a last minute stop and McDonalds. We were not set up for nutritional success yesterday. I went to the grocery store and bought veggies, chicken and even some greek yogurt and gluten free rice crackers for when we got home. But none of that mattered. We were taking a ferry to a concert, but started the evening at something called "Power Hour" at a local pub. This started at 4:30pm. We also worked all day, so we were rushing around trying to get everything done so we wouldn't miss power hour. I have included a short video that I feel summarizes Power Hour effectively. Oh no wait. It was too large to load onto my blog!
The words: I. Am. Too. Old. For. This. Must have come out of my mouth at least 25 times. Because we were going out so early, we didn't really have time for a proper dinner. So we had poutine at the concert. Then we went for McDonaalds at 2:00am.
When GoodLife opens a new club, there are a lot of people involved in the club opening. We were able to get everyone together in once place for a little while, which was nice.
I was unable to workout. I was unable to eat properly. But I had a great night out with my fabulous co-workers and friends. Success!
Co-workers loves.
I didn't take very many pictures and the only reason I am even blogging right now is because I am the only one up and I don't have the keys to our rental car, so I can't go anywhere. I am eating broccoli and chicken in my hotel room bed. Breakfast ended at the hotel at 9am (which seems really early for a Sunday morning, right?).
I am about to get ready to head of for an afternoon of Sea Kayaking and exploring. I am so excited. We always try and do something fun wherever we are for each club opening. Last summer in Halifax we went to Peggy's Cove and did the Keith's Brewery Tour. This year...we are being waaaay more adventurous!! Wish me luck!! I hope to be able to blog about my adventures later on today!
Happy Reading,
