Keynote Speakers

The keynote speakers at this year’s show are must-see’s! From Billy B to Sam Fine, the education this year is the number one reason to check out the Makeup Show LA. On Satuday, Sam Fine will be speaking about a “Career in Makeup.” Billy B and Johnny Lavoy with do their talk on the importance of the makeup community and their role in each of our careers. Sunday, Uzo, International Lead Artist for NARS, will be speaking about working for brands, and how to cultivate relationships with them. Lois Burwell is giving her talk “Integrity in Artistry” and will cover topics such a set etiquette and how to maintain an overall professional look. Aside from the Keynotes, there are tons of other amazing speakers on the other stages.

Pro Resources

The pro resources at The Makeup Show are always an excellent tool to utilize. This year, Crystal Wright and Michael DeVellis will be hosting a portfolio review following their keynote talk Saturday evening. Get your portfolio, business cards and comp cards critiqued by industry agents and artists. In addition, the Hair and Makeup Artist’s Network along with Kim Greene will be hosting a “mentor’s corner” all weekend. Stop by booth 3019 to check it out and take part.

Shopping

As always, the fantastic shopping is usually the highlight of the show. With most brands offering their top pro discounts, it’s the perfect time to stock up on everything you need in one place. The new vendors worth checking out this year are Ellis Faas, NARS, Ofra Cosmetics and Sam Fine for Fashion Fair. Makeup Forever will be debuting their new foundation, Pro Finish. Also, be sure to stop by the Inglot booth and offer your condolences to the passing of their founder, Mr. Wojchiech Inglot.
