Yet again African Pride and the Style Influencers Group, a network that connects black digital trendsetters, has graced us with another spot-on interpretation of iconic blacks throughout history in their second release of the #WeAreBlackHistory campaign. The men did an exceptional job in visually representing black men that have broken barriers and paved the way in various fields. The goal of the campaign was to commemorate both modern-day and historic black trail-blazers who have made a positive impact in black culture.

Last year, the ladies set the bar high by paying homage to several innovative black female change-makers, captured by photographer Jerome A. Shaw. This year the fellas had their turn at posing as black male leaders and they killed it! This year's photos were also shot by Shaw.
"After last year's successful campaign featuring all black women, I was honored to shoot this year's series with all male influencers. The difference this year from a photography standpoint is that I decided to go more dramatic with lighting, deep shadows and a black background. It was great to see each subject's emotional reaction after viewing the final image of themselves on screen," says Jerome A. Shaw, Photographer.
