Alas, I’ve used up the Wikimedia Commons pictures I like the most. (At least I think I have. Wiki has a lot of pictures of cake, and it’s tough to keep track of them all.)
Also, a kind Internet Concern Troll has recently informed me that by posting pictures of cake, I am likely causing irreparable harm to my readership. I am apparently “promoting” that people “gorge” themselves on “fattening foods.” Internet Concern Troll was kind enough to suggest that I would do much better to show pictures of salad instead.
You know, vegetables.
Um.
I actually do like salad quite a bit, and the idea of Friday Salad — beautiful, beautiful salad pics — is not unattractive to me. However, the idea that posting pictures of salad is somehow morally superior to posting pictures of cake, or that I have a duty to post one over the other? That is kind of gross.
So.
Have some Friday Ice Cream.
