The Benefits Of Juicing Vegetables

By Healyounaturally @healU_naturally

Juicing has been around for a long time but a recent trend for juicing  has picked up in the last few years– and with good reason.   Some juice combinations aid in healing diseases from eczema to cancer among others.

Why You Should Juice?

Compelling research link nutrient deficiencies as the root cause of many diseases.  If you’ve experienced years of mineral or nutrient deficiency due to an unbalanced  or poor diet, this will cause and perpetuate chronic illness.  By contrast,  fruit and vegetable juices, especially the last ones, help prevent them.

How Diseases Are Caused By Nutrient Deficiency

All of the cells in our body are scheduled to consume internal energy and nutrients that the blood and lymphatic system supply us with externally. But, how can a cell perform its job if it lacks the essential minerals to function properly or to form the protein that it was supposed to produce? Simply put, it does not.

The worst of this is that when a cell lacks these nutrients it is easy to master by other processes that may lead to a fragmentation of the DNA, or any other deterioration in its performance. As time goes by, these cellular disorders are situated or arise in physically weaker areas of our body, where a slight change can bring serious health consequences such as chronic or degenerative diseases  including: asthma, kidney failure, emphysema, cancer, osteoarthritis or cardiovascular diseases such as high blood pressure.

It is here when juicing comes in.  Juicing is an excellent preventive measure, especially green juices as they are loaded with Chlorophyll.  They are even an antidote for all health problems, beginning with a deficiency in minerals and/or vitamins. Juices or Smoothies have all the ideal ingredients to prevent and counteract a disease.

What is Chlorophyll?

The chlorophyll in the leaves of plants is a chemical activated by the Sun’s rays to get carbon dioxide from the air through the pores in the leaves.

Carbohydrates are formed by the splitting of water molecules which then recombine hydrogen and oxygen with carbon and oxygen from carbon dioxide. All this is done in the presence of chlorophyll. Carbohydrates are sugars or starches in plants, some of which are stored in the roots of its fruit, along with vitamins, minerals, enzymes, a little bit of oil, protein and plenty of water.

It has been said that chlorophyll is the “lifeblood” of plants, and its basic molecule is almost identical to the molecule of hemoglobin in the blood. The difference between blood hemoglobin and chlorophyll of plants is that there is a molecule of iron at the center of the structure of hemoglobin, while in the case of the chlorophyll molecule is magnesium.

It is surprising to know that most vegetables contain 1 or 2 milligrams of iron per 100 grams, as well as the magnesium from chlorophyll.  For example: 100 grams of raw parsley contains 6.2 milligrams of iron and magnesium 4 Watercress contains 1.7 mg of iron and magnesium 18.   Keep in mind that we need an average of 14 mg of iron daily. It is not surprising that when a patient has anemia it is recommended to drink a smoothie or Juice that includes a lot of parsley- another healing food.  Furthermore, this type iron is easily digestible unlike other iron supplements.

Benefits Of Chlorophyll

One of the great benefits of Juicing chlorophyll-rich (green) fresh vegetables is its purifying effect on the bowels and other elimination systems.  The chlorophyll in vegetable smoothies or Juices purifies the blood and the lymphatic system.  If we have a toxin-free body we will then better assimilate nutrients and will be full of energy and vitality. A body internally clean and well-nourished is an obstacle for diseases to develop.

The following are some of the benefits of juicing chlorophyll-rich vegetables:

• Increases the number of blood cells (combat anemia)

• Eliminates toxins from the body

• Purifies the liver

• Provides iron to the tissues of the heart

• Counteract blood sugar disorders

• Eliminates body odors

So, with the amount of benefits that chlorophyll provides it’d be wise to get into the habit of drinking these juices regularly.    Vegetable juices contain chlorophyll, enzymes, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, beta-carotene, vitamins of the B complex y vitamin C, E and K.  The power of sunlight in the chlorophyll of vegetables purifies the organism as nothing else. Yes, chlorophyll-rich vegetable juices are a gift that we must not miss.
