Yoohoo~! I know this one has been a long time coming, so I’m just gonna keep this short and sweet. Adding on to the success of their Two Tone Lip Bar that was launched in 2015, Laneige has come up with 4 new colours to add on to the 10 colours. Basically, this range allows you to get that gradient ombre lip with just a swipe – check out my previous blog post on how to angle this product to get the best results.
- 11 Juicy Pop: Canary Yellow + Coral Red
- 12 Maxi Red: Orange-toned red + Coral pink
- 13 Orange Blurring: Coral orange + clear
- 14 Dear Pink: Blue-toned red + pink
Now I know the concept of this Two Tone Lip Bar is for gradient effect, but shade 11 with its Canary Yellow is slightly odd, so I decided to blend them together – and voila! The color is a surprisingly gorgeous orange pink-coral that’s similar to that famed YSL shade 52 wore by Jeon Ji Hyun in You Who Came From The Stars. Shade 13 Orange Blurring is another one that is slightly to hard to work that ombre look, so wearing it blended together gives a mild tangerine shade. Maxi Red and Dear Pink do look slightly similar, with Maxi Red having a deeper red tint but still turning out mostly pink.
General impression: Strong color pigmentation, may show some slight flaking if you’ve got dry lips so remember to apply some lip balm / scrub beforehand. Check out my full review here.
