As someone who has spent a vast majority of her life in a tropical country with a humid climate, I’ve rarely understood the need for products that simulate that glow… until I visited Korea during winter. Boy, it was then when I realised that dewy products were really all they were cracked up to be – pun intended, cos le skin was peeling and crackling like a piece of seaweed on a grill. I guess that’s why this product was created too – to simulate that healthy moist glow (and to a certain extent, do that body contour and highlight thang that errbardy is so into these days).
Laneige Sparkling Body Cushion
First impressions: When I first dug my fingers into that cushion, what immediately came to mind was “watery glitter” – however, after you blend it into the skin, you’ll notice that it really gives a healthy rosy-tinged subtle glow. In the photos above, you can barely tell the portions where I’ve blended the product into my skin.
The Feels: Akin to applying a watery and lightweight moisturiser onto the body. There’s no sticky/greasy after feel, but if you sweep your fingers across the surface of the skin, you might get some shimmery/pearly remnants on your finger tips.
Best for… decolletage, shoulders. I’d say apply them onto boney/corner areas so that they reflect the light. Of course you can also apply this onto the rise of le female bosoms so as to make them appear more lush. Best for nights out
