Summer Reading

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

One of my goals this summer is to get back to reading more! I used to read at least a book a week and I have found myself reading less and less. Some of it is lack of time, some is reading more magazines/news and some is from not finding books I really wanted to read.

My list for the summer:

Fitness

28 Days to Fit, Fierce and  Fabulous from Tone It Up. I really do like some of their recipes and workout ideas and the layout of a 28 day plan is pretty easy to follow. My one  concern, their focus on a “bikini body”. While they do place emphasis on confidence and being you it’s a bit much on the physical appearance.

Nourish & Glow

I love Jenn and her writing. So inspirational and her ebook is full of really good ideas about how to schedule your meals and there are so many amazing salad recipes in it. She’s a big believer in green and filing your body with lean proteins, tons of fresh fruit and vegetables and the occasional glass of wine. She writes from a place of truth and emotion and I love her storytelling skills. I highly recommend this one.

These next few aren’t books but fitness programs that I love

Lift Weights F aster 2

Lean and Lovely

Omega Body Blue Print

Girls Gone Strong (Modern Women’s Guide to Strength Training)

Reading for Fun

Next on my list is We Are Not Ourselves. With a few recommendations for it I will give it a try!

Summer Reading

Finishing the Outlander series. This is a time commitment since each book is usually 800+ pages. I just finished book 6 (A Breath of Snow and Ashes) and can’t wait to read the last two.
