Souk Souk Beauty Box | June 2013

By Lisagray @juicysatsuma
I was so happy when I came home from work today and found that the postman had delivered this months Souk Souk beauty box.I’m currently fostering two kittens from work. Their mother had rejected them and so I’m hand rearing them. This means feeding them with a bottle every two hours. That’s every...two...hours, day and night!
This means I can’t really have much of a social life and to be honest, I don’t even want one right now because I’m so tired! Opening up this box today was the most excitement I’ll be getting for a long while, which is why I was so happy to receive it. Souk Souk Beauty Box | June 2013 I’m really pleased with this month’s box. I’ve been sent five products from four brands that I’ve never tried before. I think this box is great value for money too. Souk Souk Beauty Box | June 2013 Faith In Nature Grapefruit & Orange Shower Gel 100ml, Full Size RRP £5.45 I love a citrus-y shower gel and this one smells particularly divine. Faith In Nature are vegan and BUAV approved, so as a brand they tick all my boxes and then some. The 100ml size of this product makes it handy for taking in hand luggage for the various trips I have planned this year too. Souk Souk Beauty Box | June 2013 Eve of St Agnes Revive & Renew Hydrating Facial Silk 15ml, RRP £12.00 I have to admit that I’d never heard of this brand before, but I’m delighted to be able to add them to my List of Cruelty Free Brands. I love a bit of hyaluronic acid, which is a key ingredient in this moisturiser. I can’t say I’m in love with the smell of this though. There’s something old lady-ish about it. If it does the job though, then a scent I’m not in love with won’t put me off. Souk Souk Beauty Box | June 2013 Eve of St Agnes Revive & Renew Refining Bamboo Exfoliating Polish, RRP £8.00 Now I like the scent of this. Sweet orange, green mandarin and sandalwood, that’s more like it! I tested this exfoliator out on the back of my hand and it has very small, gritty bamboo exfoliating particles, but it doesn’t feel abrasive as the cream feels so luxurious. I’m looking forward to giving this a proper try though. Souk Souk Beauty Box | June 2013 Moa The Green Balm, RRP £4.99 Last month I received a cult multi-purpose balm in the form of a tea tree Balm Balm. This month I received another, which I personally I’m happy about. A really good balm is always useful! I’ll be testing this one out as a lip balm and a cleanser/make-up remover. The list of things this balm can be used for though, is really quite incredible. It can even be mixed with hot water and gargled to soothe a sore throat! Souk Souk Beauty Box | June 2013 Barefaced Natural Mineral Eyeshadow in Graphite RRP £8.00 I love mineral make-up. It’s a life saver of someone with very sensitive skin and allergies, like myself. My favorite brands are Lily Lolo and Bella Pierre but I’m always happy to try out new brands. I love the color of this eyeshadow. It’ll be perfect for a ‘going out’ smokey eye or during the day as an eyeliner. Barefaced Beauty are also BUAV approved, yaay! What does everyone think of this months box? There’s no denying it’s great value for money, and all brands included are cruelty free.
