If you like Nikki as much as I do, you can connect with her on Twitter or Facebook and make sure you tell her I said hello! Here we gooooo!
I'm Nikki and I blog over at My Life My Way.
For those of you who don't know me which I am sure is most of you do me a favor and click HERE and read my weight loss story and when your done come back and let me share with you some of my tips for conquering the weight loss you want to loose!
So as you read I have managed to loose 130 pound and have kept it off for years now. I get a lot of questions and people asking me for tips on how to do it so today I want to share some of those tips with you. Source: fromupnorth.com via Nikki on Pinterest
1. KEEP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE. Seriously you will not get anywhere with a bad attitude. If you are not positive about it its never gonna happen. Throw out the I can't do this and adapt the I WILL do this.
2. WATER WATER WATER. Water will become your go to drink. Need some variety? Add some lemon or lime. It will change your water experience.
3. ENLIST IN THE HELP OF A WORKOUT PARTNER. This can be as simple as your 4 legged pal or a BFF who has weight loss goals similar to yours.
4. MOVE. I know that sounds simple but believe me the first step is usually the hardest step. I promise you that once you start moving you will keep moving. Exercise becomes addicting and yes that is spoken from experience. Heck this is the girl that was once 280 pounds and is now 150 and TEACHES BodyCombat.
5. MAKE TIME. I know this is gonna be hard for most people however if you really want to loose the weight you will find the time. Ideas? Instead of parking your behind on the couch while you are watching TV watch it while you are on the treadmill. Watch it while you are doing dips from your couch, or crunches or jumping jacks...the possibilities are endless.
6. IGNOR YOUR SCALE. Seriously your scale is your worst enemy. Believe it or not I do not own a scale. I only get on the scale when I go to the doctor for my yearly physical. I rely on the way my clothing fits me.
7. MAKE FOOD SWAPS. Switch out white bread for whole wheat bread, white rice for brown rice, regular pasta for whole wheat pasta. Simple small switches like that will help you. Cut back on your sugar intake as well. Try to eat as clean as possible. Source: goodbyebabylon.tumblr.com via Nikki on Pinterest
Friends this is only some suggestions. This is stuff that worked for me. I am in no way shape or form a professional nor am I a doctor but I know what worked for me. Remember its not gonna happen over night. It takes a lot of hard work and determination but if I can do it you can do it! Remember it is a lifestyle not a in the moment thing.
Tara thanks for having me!
