Shake and Bake

This is one of my favorite recipes it tastes as amazing as it sound shake and bake. Honestly once you get the seasoning right all than you need is a bit of shaking than baking, sounds fun doesn`t it, in fact it is fun. Like my granny use to say cooking should be fun. This shake and bake recipe is just the perfect example for what needs to be fun and a perfect way to enjoy your other wise healthy lunch ideas. Not is this recipe great for any meals it should be best had with someone else to make it taste even better. I can`t think of a better way to enjoy my healthy lunch ideas without fun being involved. Ingredients:

  • 4 Cups Flour
  • 2 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 Cup Bran Flake Cereal (crushed)
  • 2 Tbls. Parsley Flakes
  • 2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbls. Onion Powder
  • 2 Tsp. Chili Powder
  • 2 Tbls. Taco Seasoning
  • 1 Tsp. Ground Pepper
  • 1 Tsp. Curry Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Basil
  • 1 Tsp. Oregano
  • Mix together well.
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 400 F
  2. Dredge 1 disjointed chicken in above mix.
  3. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a shallow 9 x 12 baking pan.
  4. Place chicken skin side down and baste top with melted butter from the pan.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25 min.
  6. Turn skin side up, reduce heat to 350F and bake until tender; 30 – 35 minutes.
